Mid-career Chicago cellist FRED LONBERG-HOLM has performed in Miami’s Subtropics Music Festival since the 1990s. During a 2017 two-week residency he combined public programs with a field trip to the sound-rich Everglades National Park. Following his audio presentation that featured the cello in improvised and experimental music, Lonberg-Holm highlighted four from among the artists he had profiled.
